Meditation: Awareness, Breathing, Connection.

I began my meditation journey almost ten years ago.  As a mother of five I found it challenging to stay committed to the different rules or rituals of different meditation techniques.  I decided to focus on what was important to me love, liberty, and happiness!  I like to keep it simple.

Three simple steps to meditation. Awareness, Breathing, Connection. Awareness of mind, body, and spirit. Breathing in slowly while relaxing your mind, rejuvenating your body and refreshing to your spirit. Connection to mind, body, and spirit. Meditation is as easy as ABC. Allowing your mind, body, and spirit to become relaxed, rejuvenated, and refreshed!

What is meditation?

Becoming aware of the 'self'.  Allowing yourself to becoming aware of the moment, releasing judgment about yourself and others, relaxing body and letting go of any stress, negativity, and control. There are several different types of meditation to choose from.  Such as Mindfulness, Transcendental, Guided,  Kundalini, Qi gong, and trance based.  I have tried several types but I find that the best way for me is Awareness, Breathing, and Connection.

How to meditate? 

1. Awareness become aware of your mind and it's ability to think, understand, reason, and remember.  Be present at this moment and decide to meditate. Bring your awareness to your body and it's capability taste, touch, smell, hear, see and maintain without your assistance.  Then notice your awareness of your spirit and it's unlimited unbounded potential to create life.

2. Breathing in slowly, listen to your breath, feel your lungs expand with air, and circulating through your body.  With every exhalation you natualy release any tension, relaxing your body and easing your mind.

3. Connection with yourself to your source.  Connecting your mind and body to spirit. Go within and connect with love, light, and energy.

Why meditate? 

Happiness, love, faith, strength, openness, compassion, connection, imagination, passion, desire, forgiving, thankfulness, joy, adjustment, blessings, releasing, clarity, commitment, support, wisdom, focus, maintaining, communicating, celebrating, relaxing, rejuvenating, inspiration, motivation, imagination, and appreciation!

When to meditate?

Any time, all the time, every time, and especially when you don't have the time!

Who is meditation for?

Everyone, all ages, sizes, genders, races, and religions.

Our mind is powerful, our bodies strong, our spirit unbreakable! I believe that meditating is a valuable tool and resource. How do you meditate?

Three priorities! Reading, Writing, Meditating!

Becoming a blogger is exciting an overwhelming at the same time. Three priorities that will move me closer towards living life on my own terms are reading, writing, and meditating. I realize that there is a lot for me to learn. For example, what are backlinks and trackbacks? What's a good Meta tag description? To ping or not to ping?  When I google any of these topics its like information overload. So if I want to be successful at blogging then I better step up my reading. For the next 30 day's I am going to read more information on Google blogger support, Problogger, and Blogging basics 101. This will give me a good strong foundation!

I will also be spending more time writing the old fashion way! I enjoy writing on a blank white sheet of paper with a pencil in hand. Taking time to sit and relax while writing my thoughts is rewarding. Unless that is if I procrastinate. I'm going to carry a pencil and paper with me everywhere I go and over the next 30 days I'm going to write down any inspired thoughts or ideas when they come to me.

Awe! Like a breath of fresh air! Meditating is an important part of my life. It has given me freedom, peace of mind, and happiness. I enjoy meditating everyday! I don't put any rules or limits on my meditation. I can sit, lie down, keep my eyes open or close them, repeat a mantra (love, peace, happiness), clear my mind, watch my thoughts, or visualize the most magnificent thing. Over the next 30 days I will take time to stop more often throughout my day and become still, even if its only for 3 long and slow breaths!

Perfect work and play day!

I awaken from slumber lying in my bed it feels like I'm floating in the clouds. My body is perfect, my health pristine. I love myself and I am blessed joyful and ready for a new day! I open my eyes and find a special someone by my side. He looks at me with this bright eyes, smiles with this luscious lips, and whispers "good morning!" I kiss him and reply back "good morning my love!" Lying together listening to the birds sing, we can hear the waves, and see the Sun reflect off the clear blue water. I get up out of bed start the coffee, open the doors to feel the breeze, look at the Sunrise and smile.

Starting my day feeling totally joyful, loving, accepting, blessed and grateful. My family, my home, my heart, my life, and my work are all connected. With one main purpose, love! Discover what you love, live what you love, do what you love, and be what you love. A perfect day is a day of love!

What kind of work do you do?

The work I do it comes from within,  
It is in my thoughts and my heart it's Organ.
I play a tune on key, I'm perfect and subtle,
I sing and dance both chorus and solo.
Ready, willing and eager to please!
No need to hear in order to listen.
Feel the strum of my beat, 
The truth in my vibe brings you to your feet. 
The work of love pumps through my veins!

Location Independence

Location is the point of a place where I am. My location is known by a set of rules, structures, patterns, and beliefs. For example, in the picture above where am I? Am I "the apple of his eye", "a refflection", or sitting in my yard?  Niether I am NOT bound to this location.

Independence is the freedom to see that life is limitless. Discover your own life, by living the life of your dreams.  Be flexible, love and honor yourself through your journey. Set a goal and move towards it!  My goal is to become aware of my unlimited and unbounded potential.  My creation is realized through my ideas, thoughts, imagination, and feelings.

Location independence is a choice to live life on your own terms!

Freedom and Adventure

Freedom is like a tumbleweed going on an adventure through the streets of Phoenix.

What's your definition of freedom in business and adventure in life?

Adventure in life
• Learning
• Growing
• Variety
• Failing
• Exploring

Living life on my own terms is what I strive for.  I believe that creating an online business is a key component to having freedom in business.  Working online is prime real estate.  I can work from any part of the world as long their is Internet access.  Choosing my own working hours has given me more time to spend with my family doing the things that we love.  Owning an online business is like having a blank canvas, it gives me an opportunity to be creative and share my painting to the world.  Freedom in business is about letting go, of all my beliefs and fears that I've learned about, finding out what I love and contributing to others.

Adventure in life is about learning, growing,  and making memories.  Sometimes in life we get comfortable with our systems and routines. Other times we don't even realize that we are running around like Zombies, stuck on hunt mode, numb to life or adventure.  Not only do we need adventure, we crave it! Life isn't about living in a box staring at the wall.  Unless you user your light to build the life of your dream life, everything will remain in the dark.  I believe that adventure in life is about, seeking variety, exploring your limits and pushing past your fears.

A perfect day!

Waking up in the morning I feel fully rested and energized.  I am happy, healthy, and honored to be here.  What a magical place and time to live, full of mystery and history, I am awake! In my fabulous beach front property lying next to my loving partner.  I smile and thank myself for waking up to such a wonderful day! Sitting on the balcony watching the sun rise,  I sip on my warm soothing beverage. While listening to the waves a cool misty breeze hits my face, I sit in silence, meditating, and connecting within.  

I continue my day excited and eager to explore adventurous activities with my family. My family enjoys spending time hiking beautiful trails, scuba diving in clear blue water, and being outdoors in nature.   I love and appreciate nature, I am in awe, with all the miraculously infinite various types of life forms that surrounds us.

I am a spiritual being existing in a physical world experience.   I am here for love, growth,  happiness, and contribution.   I am thankful for my senses because I can hear sweet words being whispered in my ear, I can see the sun and moon rise, I can feel my lips as they touch to kiss, I can taste delicious food all across the globe, I can smell the orange blossoms as the citrus tree blooms, I can trust my intuition as it guides me through life. I am whole, perfect, and complete!

Meditation a Journey to Freedom!

I started to blog about 2 year ago because I wanted to overcome my fear of writing.  I thought that if I started to blog then it would help me to gain some experience and become more confident.  My blog was started for me and I didn't share my blog address with anyone. Currently my blog consists of personal meditation writings, which are thoughts I have after meditation.

Now that I decided to join the 30 day Blog Challenge I am ready to write and share my blog with the world.  I have a new idea for my blog that I am excited about!  I will be blogging about Meditation. I have been meditating for the past 9 years and I believe that I am happier because of it. It has helped me to create peace and love in my life. I want to reach out to others who have been thinking about or who are already meditating.  

I expect that the 30 Day Blog Challenge will take me out of my comfort zone.  The challenge has also inspired me to go beyond the next 30 days; I want to explore and implement different methods and forms of meditation over the next 12 months, trying various meditations for 30 days each.  I will discover and learn about many different types and ways of meditating, and blog about it.  I hope that my blog helps reach other's who want to create happiness in their lives through meditation.
